About
OSTILLO is a nonprofit art foundation and exhibition space located in Rosewood, East Austin—an area shaped by segregation-era policies, later recognized as a vital center of cultural expression. Its program features monographic and thematic exhibitions drawn from a collection spanning the 1980s to the present, encompassing painting, sculpture, installation, video, as well as performances, talks, and public events.
OSTILLO is committed to engaging social and contemporary questions through artistic expression. It recognizes the vital role artists play in challenging norms, fostering dialogue, and driving positive change. The foundation promotes cross-cultural exchange by bringing together artists and audiences from diverse backgrounds while engaging the community through exhibitions and public programs.
Located within a landscaped park, OSTILLO includes a public library, and an open-air performance space that serves as the home of the East Side Kings Festival—a long- standing celebration of Austin’s blues and musical heritage.
